Abstract:
Electric power generation is becoming increasingly critical for vehicles today as
they strive for cleaner environments and more efficient operations. A hybrid
electric vehicle's drive range will be improved using solar energy and automobiles
in this project. The vehicle's design harnesses solar power and converts it into
electricity through solar panels which charge a lead acid battery through a charge
controller. An electric motor drives the vehicle via a motor driver connected to the
battery storage unit. The battery is being charged from the solar panel. When the
automobile is running from the battery, the voltage is produced again through the
DC generator and the battery is recharged. While the Solar Electric Vehicle is
designed to run on only solar power, a fraction of its power is supplied by the grid.
In our country, solar electric vehicles are not completely green since their
electricity is not generated from renewable sources. Despite that, we could
virtually eliminate emissions if we established several Solar Power Stations and
charged vehicles from them.
