Abstract:
Bangla hand sign recognition is an emerging field in computer vision and machine learning that aims to bridge the communication gap between individuals with hearing and speech impairments and the general population. This research proposes a novel approach for Bangla hand sign recognition using machine learning techniques. The primary objective is to accurately interpret and translate hand gestures into corresponding Bangla characters or words. Bangla Hand Sign Language is used by the deaf and voiceless community to be able to communicate with other people, but the most commonly faced problem here is that everyone around may not be able to understand Bangla hand sign language. Bangla hand sign recognition system has the potential to significantly improve communication and interaction for individuals with hearing and speech impairments. It can be integrated into various applications, such as assistive devices, educational tools, and virtual communication platforms, to facilitate effective communication between different user groups. The findings of this research contribute to the advancement of Bangla hand sign recognition and can serve as a foundation for future studies in this field.
